Ashkar's research goal is to address the fundamental challenges at the material and device level to enable high-speed low-power logic applications. Current research includes oxide and III-V interface characterization, simulation, fabrication and characterization of narrow-gap quantum-well FETs for beyond silicon technology nodes. He enjoys photography and listening to music.
