Teaching with Technology Certificate Program Now Available for InstructorsTeaching with Technology Certificate Program Now Available for Instructors: The TWT certificate, formerly offered exclusively to graduate students, is a non-credit certificate showing that an instructor or teaching assistant has demonstrated the innovative use of technology in teaching. The TWT program will now be available to instructors who have used technology in a course. - June 30, 2010

Jeff Reel, Executive Director, KINBERPenn State Director to Lead KINBER in Building State-wide Network: Jeff Reel, director within ITS Telecommunications and Networking Services, has recently been selected as executive director of the Keystone Initiative for Network Based Education and Research (KINBER). Reel will lead the KINBER coalition in the implementation of the Pennsylvania Research and Education Network (PennREN), a statewide broadband network designed to support educational, research, health, and economic development partners across the commonwealth. - June 15, 2010

Faculty Fellow Ann Clements to Study Effect of Technology on Children’s Musical PlayFaculty Fellow Ann Clements to Study Effect of Technology on Children’s Musical Play: Ann Clements, associate professor of music education, plans to study the effect of video game technology and media influences on children’s musical play as a summer 2010 Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) Faculty Fellow. The musical play she is interested in is the informal kind that takes place on the playground and at home, including songs that children learn from each other. - June 15, 2010

Educational Gaming Commons - press startVideo of Riot Games Presentation Now Available for Viewing: A video of a presentation by two representatives of the gaming company, Riot Games, is now available on the Teaching and Learning with Technology Youtube channel. The event featured Mark Franz, director of development and operations with Riot Games, and Travis Stanford George, producer and former designer with Riot Games, presenting a talk on what it's like to work in the gaming industry. The presentation included what sorts of games they have worked on, and also what types of jobs one can aspire to in the business. - May 12, 2010
