The Penn State Harrisburg Library opened in early 2000 and is called the "Library of the Future" because it is the most technologically advanced library in South-central Pennsylvania. This three-story library allows users to access books, journals, electronic databases, and the Internet form 92 percent of its 664 general public and group study seats. There are numerous seminar rooms with video ports that provide locations for classes, meetings and interactive communication with off-site groups. Also, two technology-enhanced rooms with laptop and flat screen computers are a great learning aide and resource to many students.
The Penn State Harrisburg Library has several unique features including a wired Art Gallery and a Cyber Café where students are able to relax, chat with friends and enjoy refreshments.
