Mission Statement

The Office of Student Support and Intercultural Affairs enhances and supports the educational mission of all academic units through collaborative partnerships, assessments and implementation of services in order to promote student success and quality of life within a learning centered community. To achieve this mission the following objectives are employed:

• Provide support services that assist students to refine academic skills and promote holistic development
• Provide educational opportunities for students to learn, live and succeed in a pluralistic society
• Provide educational opportunities to the campus community that promote cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Promote leadership opportunities for students through partnerships with other campus entities
• Promote programs and activities that enhance understanding, appreciation and celebration of cultural differences
• Engage in assessment and continuous improvement of all programs and services
• Promote positive relations with support programs and activities in the community at large
