Emergencies

To reach campus police in an EMERGENCY dial 911 from all campus phones. This will put you in contact with the Dauphin County Emergency Communications Center. Let the operator know that you are calling from the Penn State Harrisburg Campus and follow their instructions. They will dispatch the UNIVERSITY POLICE to your location (along with other emergency resources as required).

EMERGENCY PHONES — Emergency phones are located on campus in the parking lot at the rear of Olmsted. These phones are to be used only in case of an emergency and will connect you directly to the Dauphin County 911 Emergency Dispatch Center.

In case of fire, residents should evacuate and call 911.

Accident/Illness/Injury and need for ambulance:

  1. Call 8-911 from any campus phone to request emergency assistance.
  2. Call Police Services, 948-6232, Cell Phone (979-7976), or
  3. Call Health Services, 948-6015 — inform them of the type of assistance needed, or
  4. Notify Coordinator/Assistant Coordinator as soon as possible.
