Capitol Building

Public affairs and marketing consulting firm — Prepare marketing and media reports for clients, campaign event planning, research legislative issues, and web design.

Statewide public advocacy / special interest organization — Policy research; advocacy meetings; legislative committee meetings and hearings, and information management.

Legislative committee or research center — Policy and program research, response to constituent and information systems development.

Economic development organization — Program research and general assistance in economic development office including economic development marketing and web design.

County government — Housing and Redevelopment — Neighborhood organizing and administrative support for housing and community development programs

City Government — Office of the Mayor — Work directly with the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor performing duties of a Mayoral Assistant in areas of public relations, community development and policy research.

State agency — Program and policy research, respond to field requests, analysis and reporting of monthly and quarterly data

Statewide association — Interns help plan, promote, and host seminars, conferences and other events. Research and track federal or state legislation

Local public affairs television and radio — Several positions are available ranging from television production, educational services, graphic design and public relations

Region youth development organization — Development of a youth leadership training program for high school students.

Non-profit human service agency — Providing assistance, representation and advocacy for clients.
