Research Goals:
The Center’s research and development activities are focused on signal integrity analysis of high speed interconnects at the pre-competitive level. For the upcoming fiscal year, the Center will focus its research in de−embedding issues, which were consulted with and agreed on with connector companies that belong to the Center’s Steering Committee. The particular research topics are:

- Characterization of TDR measurements performances using stochastic models and prediction of residual errors after calibration.
- Phase ambiguity problem and calibration techniques to eliminate it
- Papers:
- De-Embedding Techniques in Signal Integrity: A Comparison Study (PDF).
- A New Adaptive Technique for Transmitter Pre-Emphasis and Receiver Equalization in a High-Speed Backplane Environment (PDF).
- Transmitter Pre-emphasis and Adaptive Receiver Equalization for Duobinary Signaling in Backplane Channels (PDF).
- Characterization of Differential Via Holes Using Equivalent Circuit Extraction Technique (PDF).
