
GANSEVOORT, NY - A school record seven Penn State Harrisburg women´s soccer players were named to the 2009 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women´s Soccer All-Conference team Wednesday November 4th. Head coach Mark Brown, who took the 14-2 Lady Lions to their best season in school history, was voted NEAC Coach of the Year for his undefeated season in conference play. Freshman Lindsay McNeal (Hershey, PA/ Hershey), sophomore Corinne Mazzotta (Haddam, CT/Haddam Killingworth), senior Lindsey Stauffer (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt), and freshman goalkeeper Brittany Adams (Dillsburg, PA/Northern) all earned first team honors. MORRISVILLE, NY - Freshman Dillon Sobilo (Miramer, Fl/Summerset) and junior Danny Francis (Pottstown, PA/Owen J. Roberts) combined for five goals to help power #8 Penn State Harrisburg men´s soccer past #9 Penn State Berks 8-1 in Tuesday´s North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament first round game at the Penn State Harrisburg soccer field. Francis kicked off the Nittany Lion scoring by dishing it to teammate Michael Urich (Lewisberry, PA/Red Land) in the 15th minute for the first goal of the match. Sobilo quickly added his first goal in the 21st minute via Chad Guenthner (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) followed by Francis´ first goal in the 26th minute. Click here for the full story.

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg women´s volleyball team heads into their first North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) playoff match this Saturday as the second seed in the three day tournament hosted at the Capital Union Building. The Lady Lions finished out the season 18-11 beating conference opponents, Keuka College, SUNY Cobleskill, College of Saint Elizabeth, Cazenovia College, Penn State Berks and Penn State Abington in the regular season. MIDDLETOWN, PA - For the first time in school history, Penn State Harrisburg´s women´s soccer program won the regular season championship in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC). After recording a perfect 9-0 regular season record, the Lady Lions earned the right to host the NEAC tournament. The Semifinals will start Saturday, November 7th at 11:30 A.M. when the Lady Lion´s will host the winner of the SUNY Cobleskill versus Penn State Berks first round game. In game two, SUNY IT will play the winner of the Wells versus Keuka first round game. The Championship game will be held November 8th at 1 P.M. Click here for the full story.
