Nittany Lions Lose Two in Lebanon Valley Tournament

ANNVILLE, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg men´s basketball team left the Rinso Marquette Tournament held at Lebanon Valley College this weekend 1-2 on the season but opened many Penn State Harrisburg fan´s eyes with their up-tempo offense and swarming defense. The Nittany Lion´s opening match put them against host team, Lebanon Valley, who handed the blue and white a 108-53 lost a season ago. This game would prove to be a different story with Harrisburg hanging with the Dutchmen the first six minutes of play with sophomore Kenton Alston (Steelton, PA/Steelton-Highspire) tying the game at 11 apiece. Lady Lions Gain Experience in Albright Tournament

READING, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg women´s basketball team posted a 0-2 record this weekend against host, Albright College, and Rowan University in the Albright Women´s Basketball Tip-off Tournament. In Saturday´s game, the Lady Lions were matched up against Albright College. The blue and white played nose to nose with the 1-0 host team, leading 11-10 the first ten minutes of play off a layup from sophomore Amaris Gardner (Virginia Beach, VA/Bayside). After an Albright timeout, the hosting Lions went on a 26-7 run to finish out the first half. Click here for the full story.

Strong Second Half Lifts Nittany Lions Pass Schuylkill

MIDDLETOWN, PA - Sophomore Kenton Alston (Steelton, PA/Steelton-Highspire) posted a career-high 33 points with the Penn State Harrisburg men´s basketball team outscoring visiting Penn State Schuylkill by 21 in the second half to collect an 89-73 victory Wednesday evening at the Capital Union Building. Alston and the Nittany Lions came out with the early 8-0 run in the first three minutes of play with Alston collecting every point to energize his team. Click here for the full story.

Schuylkill Defeats Lady Lions in Season Opener

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg women´s basketball team kicked off their season Wednesday, November 18th with a 52-47 loss to Penn State Schuylkill at the Capital Union Building. In spite of shooting 35% from the field, Penn State Harrisburg held the lead at half, 25-19. Penn State Schuylkill also shot 35% but only connected on 3 of 9 from the charity stripe to Harrisburg´s 8 of 15. Click here for the full story.
