NORTH EASTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK SELECTIONS

GANSEVOORT, NY - The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) announces student-athlete of the week selections for the week ending April 12, 2009 in the sport of golf and men´s tennis.

Shane Woodman (Marietta, PA) was selected as the NEAC Men´s Golf Student-Athlete of the week for his outstanding performance for the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions. Woodman, a sophomore, shot a school record 74 to help his team to victory in their tri-match with York Technical Institute and Baptist Bible College. The team shot a season-best 313 to hold off York Technical Institute by four strokes, while Babtist Bible finished with a team score of 348. Woodman also shot a team best 79 in the Blue Jay Classic.

Keith Lynn (Bloomsburg, PA) was selected as the NEAC Men´s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for his performance for the Penn State Harrisburg Nittany Lions. Lynn, a sophomore, won his singles match at the #1 flight with a score of 6-1, 6-1. Lynn also had a strong performance in the #2 doubles position this week with a win (8-0). Lynn helped Penn State Harrisburg to a 1-0 record this week.
