
MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Harrisburg women´s volleyball team is sitting tied for most wins in a season after a three games to none (25-6, 25-11, 25-5) victory over Trinity DC College Tuesday night at the Capital Union Building.
Freshman Morgan Madden (Towanda, PA/Towanda) led the Lady Lions with seven kills while collecting four service aces. The blue and white were able to accumulate a season-high 21 service aces led by freshman Amanda Duda (Centerville, VA/Westfield) with six. Senior Amanda Wade (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff) contributed 13 assists.
In Saturday´s tri-match against SUNY Morrisville and Penn State Berks in Morrisville, New York, the Lady Lions were able to turn out a 1-1 record beating their Penn State rival in five sets (25-13, 25-20, 21-25, 19-25, 16-14). Although the blue and white were able to take the first two sets from SUNY Morrisville, the home team fought back in tremendous fashion taking the next three games, (25-19, 25-15, 15-7).
Penn State Harrisburg improves to 10-7 overall, 5-0 at home, with their next match coming this Saturday, October 3, against Rutgers-Camden and Mount Aloysius. Match times are set for 11:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. at the Capital Union Building.
