Nittany Lions Long on Shots, Short on Goals

ABINGTON, PA -The Penn State Harrisburg men´s soccer team fell to North Eastern Athletic Conference opponent, Penn State Abington, 4-0 Tuesday night October 20th.

Abington wasted no time scoring in the 5th minute off an Alex Edwards goal via Anthony Root to give Penn State Abington the early 1-0 lead.

Abington´s Elsion Pajollari put away two goals just before halftime from Root (34:30) and Sebastian Hernandez (36:41) to give the Lions the 3-0 advantage.

Derrick Schmidt finished out the scoring for Penn State Abington in the 57th minute off the feed from Sam Neupane to secure the 4-0 victory.

Although Harrisburg out-shot Abington 20-11, it was the home team that was able to find the net.

The physical match-up saw a combined 28 fouls and eight yellow cards assessed.
