Lebanon Valley Too Much for the Nittany Lions

MIDDLETOWN, PA - Five players scored in double figures for Lebanon Valley College as the Dutchmen reached the century mark with a 108-53 victory over the Penn State Harrisburg men´s basketball team. Coming off a 76-72 victory over 12th ranked in the nation, Ursinus College, the Dutchmen looked better than their 2-3 record against the Nittany Lions winning by 55 to give the blue and white their fourth lost in a row, putting them 2-4 on the season.

The Dutchmen scored the game´s first 10 points over a span of 3:12 and led 27-12 at the half way point in the first half. They hit seven out eight three-pointers in the half while the Nittany Lions went 8-of-34 from the floor. Lebanon Valley College led by 36 points at halftime while shooting 21-for-33 from the field.

Junior Cole McGuire (Susquenita/Duncannon, PA) scored a game-high 21 points, fifteen of which came from behind the arc where he went 5-of-8 while freshman Kenton Alston (Steelton Highspire/Steelton, PA) had 13 points and four rebounds along with three blocks.

The Dutchmen were led by Dan Kunkelberger who had 14 points along with seven rebounds in just 16 minutes. Dan Hodge and Jordan Stewart both had 12 points and three rebounds. Sean Macintosh clipped in with 11 points, three from beyond the arc, and three rebounds. The last Dutchmen in double figures was Zach Kebetz with 10 points, five rebounds and two assists.

Penn State Harrisburg will face off against Keuka on Saturday. Game time is at 3:00 P.M.
