Transfer Students

Applications are welcome from students who are transferring from regionally accredited institutions. Transfer applicants are those who have earned high school diplomas or the equivalent and who have attempted at least 18 semester credits at other regionally accredited colleges or universities before enrolling at Penn State.

To be eligible for entrance to a major, a student must meet the entrance-to-major requirements of the program area. Students are expected to work with advisers and to utilize current information about entrance requirements and restrictions when exploring academic program alternatives and making program and course selections. Some programs require a higher grade-point average and the range of course work required for entry into the major is different for each program. Consult the program in the on-line catalog for details. The evaluation of prior college work is done on an individual basis by the Office of Enrollment Services.
