Current and Previous Penn State Students

Students who have been admitted to a Penn State location can apply for enrollment at Penn State Harrisburg in different ways, depending on their status. In all cases, the student must have a grade-point average of at least 2.0 and should refer to the entry-into-major requirements for each program. Some majors will require a higher grade-point average. However, a student who has had an interruption in enrollment at Penn State of no fewer than four calendar years and whose cumulative grade-point average is less than 2.0 may petition for re-enrollment with academic renewal.

Change of Major/Change of Assignment

Students enrolled in a transfer program at a Penn State location who want to continue their education at Penn State Harrisburg can request a change of major and a change of assignment to Penn State Harrisburg. Change of Major and Change of Assignment Request forms are available from the Registrar's Office at the student's present campus or from the Enrollment Services Office at Penn State Harrisburg.

Re-enrollment

Re-enrollment is the procedure which allows a former Penn State degree candidate who has interrupted continuous enrollment to resume degree candidacy. Re-enrollment is necessary for any student who wants to resume degree candidacy after any of the following situations:

• withdrawal
• interruption of continuous enrollment
• change of status from degree candidate to non-degree student
• returning earlier or later than the time specified on a leave of absence
• academic drop from degree status
• disenrollment from a college or major
• dismissal or suspension for non-academic reasons
• returning for another undergraduate degree after completing an associate or baccalaureate degree.
