King lecture series begins with best-selling author

Penn State Harrisburg’s 2012 Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Lecture Series, “A Legacy of Persistence and Hope,” kicks off Thursday, Feb. 16 with Omar Tyree, New York Times best-selling author, lecturer and literacy advocate. The series, free and open to the public, culminates this fall with an appearance by Maya Angelou.

Performance to feature a cappella Yiddish songs

Internationally known vocalist and artist Susan Leviton will perform Yiddish women’s songs a cappella in the Olmsted Building Gallery Lounge, Thursday, Feb. 23, at 7:00 p.m. Free and open to the public, the concert, "Women’s Voices in Yiddish Song," will be followed by a kosher reception.

Summer schedule offers convenient options

Students looking to take a course or two over the summer can choose from a full range of undergraduate and graduate courses offered at Penn State Harrisburg. The first summer session runs May 14 to June 25; the second session runs June 27 to August 10. Registration now open.

The summer schedule offers flexible options to meet students’ needs, including consecutive course bundles, online delivery, courses at the Hershey Medical Center and Penn State York, a study tour, and programs for educators.
