October 29, 2009

A local consultant physician and surgeon will join three Penn State Harrisburg faculty experts to give a public “Six-Month Checkup of the Obama Administration” at noon Wednesday, Nov. 4.

The presentation in the Gallery Lounge of the Olmsted Building on campus is free and open to the public. For information, phone 717-948-6315.

Moderated by Associate Professor of Political Science and Public Policy Carol Nechemias, the discussants will include surgeon John P. Judson, M.D., who is an adjunct faculty member in the college’s Master of Health Administration program. Judson also holds a Master of Public Administration from the college.

Also on the panel will be Professor of Public Administration and Public Policy Beverly Cigler and Assistant Professor Emeritus of Community Systems and Afro-American Studies Clem Gilpin.

The discussion is the latest installment in the Penn State Harrisburg “Academic Perspectives on Current Events” series hosted and organized by its Office of Research and Graduate Studies. Established a year ago to draw from the college’s broad range of faculty expertise, the series addresses issues of pressing concern to both the campus and external communities.
