Penn State Harrisburg is offering the New SAT Exam Prep Course to students in grades 9 through 12 on six consecutive Saturdays Oct. 24 through Nov. 28.
An outreach service of the college’s School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, the prep course will meet each Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Educational Activities Building on campus.
The course is designed to teach students how to effectively apply new strategies to prepare for the SAT exam. Using lecture, interactive class discussions, and engaging activities, the course will examine and discuss strategic approaches and methodical processes for the critical reading, writing, and math sections.
The instructor, Angel Kelton, holds a master’s degree from Millersville University in Language and Literacy with reading specialist certification. She teaches at the high school level and has been involved in creating curriculum for study skills, SAT prep, and standardized test prep for diverse learning styles.
