Penn State Harrisburg is offering instruction to professionals and students planning to take the April 2010 Professional Engineering or Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
The college’s School of Science, Engineering, and Technology and its Office of Continuing Education are partnering to offer the review courses in advance of the April exams.
Designed to demystify the engineering exams and increase confidence, the courses review the most common technical areas covered on the exams while teaching essential problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, and short-cut solutions to answering questions.
The schedule begins Thursday, Aug. 20 with the review course in civil, sanitary, and structural at the Penn State Harrisburg Eastgate Center, 1010 N. Seventh St. in Harrisburg. The 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday classes will meet through April 1, 2010.
The review course in environmental, also offered at the Eastgate Center, will meet Thursdays Oct. 8 through April 1 from 6 to 9 p.m.
On Saturdays, Nov. 7 through April 3, the Fundamentals of Engineering review will be offered 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. in the Educational Activities Building on the Penn State Harrisburg campus.
The list of review courses concludes with electrical from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, Nov. 7 through March 6 in the Educational Activities Building.
