Alumni named president, CEO of Fulton Financial

Penn State Harrisburg graduate E. Philip Wenger has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of Fulton Financial Corp., the company announced December 31.

A resident of Pequea, Wenger has served as senior executive vice president for the Lancaster-based financial holding company since 2006.

He is chairman of the Fulton Bank Board of Directors and treasurer of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He also serves on the boards of the Fulton Opera House and the Lancaster County YMCA Foundation.

With 30 years of banking experience, Wenger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an MBA from Penn State Harrisburg. He also graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Fulton operates 10 community banks in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Virginia.
