Test-Taking Strategies: November 3(Tuesday); 12:30– 1:30 p.m.; E-254, Olmsted Knowing the material for a test is necessary but not sufficient to perform well on a test, especially if your professor asks difficult questions. To perform at your optimal level you have to have good test-taking skills. This program will teach you how to take different types of tests including multiple choice, short answer, essay, true/false and math tests. Assistive Technology for All Students: November 11(Wednesday); 12:00– 12:50 p.m.; W-140, Olmsted In this workshop you will learn about assistive technology available to all students at reasonable prices to improve your academic efficacy. Screen readers, Inspiration, and the Pulse Smartpen will be demonstrated. Screen readers can be used to read Word and pdf files when you are too tired to read efficiently. Inspiration and Word can help you organize your thoughts before writing. Using the Smartpen, you can take notes, and then you can listen to parts of the lecture on demand.
