PRAXIS Preparation

The Learning Center, in collaboration with the Office of Teacher Education, conducts workshops in the Fall and Spring Semester for preparation for the PPST (Pre-Professional Skills Test) in reading, writing and mathematics. Harrisburg Area Community College is a test center.

Education majors should register for any of the workshops listed below. Alternatively, you can contact our professional writing tutor, Kathy Brode, or math tutor, Janice Smith, for individualized help in PRAXIS preparation — either PPST or PRAXIS II subject exams in English and Mathematics.

The Learning Center has several study and review guides available for your use — either in the Center or for check-out. See the resources link for additional recommended resources.

PRAXIS Workshops

The Learning Center provides these workshops for preparation for the PPST (Pre-Professional Skills Test) in reading, writing and mathematics.  Pre-registration is strongly suggested. Registration forms are available in W-314. All workshops are scheduled on the following Tuesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. (Contact the Learning Center for the location.)
