Choose to Learn: How Do I Get a Tutor or Academic Coach?

For Writing (for both undergraduate and graduate students)

Schedule an appointment by using the Online Scheduler or contact Kathy at kbb3@psu.edu or 948-6469 OR drop in to C-216 without an appointment, and a tutor will help you if one is available. An appointment is recommended, but not required. Scheduled tutoring is limited to two hours per week; additional time is available by dropping in.

For Math/Statistics:

Schedule an appointment using the Online Scheduler or call 948-6475 OR drop in without an appointment to C-212 or C-216 and a tutor will work with you if one is available. An appointment (individual or group) is recommended, but not required. All math tutors can help with math courses up to and including MATH 141 and STAT 200. Ask about other courses; frequently someone can tutor them. Scheduled tutoring is limited to two hours per week per course; additional time is available by dropping in.

For the Academic Coach:

Schedule an appointment with Karen Miles using the Online Scheduler or 948-6475. An appointment is required.

For Other Courses:

Ask us to arrange a tutor. If we can find someone who is qualified and willing to work for the Learning Center, we will arrange a tutor for you! We often can find one, but we can’t guarantee it. E-mail tutorrequest@psu.edu. Tutoring is limited to two hours per week per course.
