Tim Reeves
Tim Reeves joined Neiman Group in November 2001, as one of its four shareholders and head of its public relations division. He became President of the agency in September 2004. Neiman Group welcomed new clients such as Edison Schools and the Ad Council, and led a national PR launch of a new diet product that generated 2 million website visits in 48 hours! In 2003, Tim and his PR team took home the Platinum Award, sponsored by PR News magazine, for the best media event in the nation, besting 24 other agencies to win first place – most of them many times Neiman Group’s size. Neiman Group was selected as a finalist for another Platinum Award in 2004, and also was a 2004 national finalist for a SABRE Award, for its PR launch of Sheetz’ first North Carolina restaurant.
Tim’s seven-year stint as Gov. Tom Ridge’s Press Secretary (for five of those years, Tim also served as Director of Communications) made him the longest-serving gubernatorial press secretary in Pennsylvania history. In a July 2001 cover story, Governing magazine called him “one of the most consistently effective image makers in any state government in the country.” Prior to joining Gov. Ridge, Tim was an award-winning journalist. He covered state government from Harrisburg as a reporter for both the Pittsburgh Post- Gazette and TheMorning Call of Allentown. He began his career as a reporter for the York Daily Record, where he met his wife Anne, also a journalist. Tim keeps in touch with his journalistic roots by teaching seminars in political journalism at The Pennsylvania State University, and serving as the on-air political analyst for the ABC News affiliate in Central Pennsylvania. Tim also is helping a nationally known CEO to write his first book, slated for publication in 2005.
Tim was a 1983 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Allegheny College . He and Anne McGraw Reeves – herself a former state Capitol reporter for The Associated Press, and now a local columnist in Hershey – are blessed with four children – Kate, Megan, Danny, and Molly.
