Teaching Assistantships:
The Environmental Pollution Control Program at Penn State Harrisburg (Middletown, PA) has immediate openings for full-time graduate teaching assistants with Bachelor’s of Science degrees in either Biology or Chemistry, or closely allied disciplines. These full assistantships include complete coverage of tuition expenses and a generous stipend. Specific duties include a minimum of 20 hours per week devoted to laboratory teaching. Qualifications:
- Candidates must meet all admission criteria for the program.
- Candidates must submit GRE scores with their applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a field directly related to the work.
- Proficient in basic lab techniques and principles.
- Knowledge of microbiology and aseptic techniques preferred (biology).
- Knowledge of computer-aided data acquisition systems helpful (chemistry).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational skills required.
