Scholarship Opportunities

The School of Business Administration is delighted to be able to provide several scholarships to our students. The number of scholarships the School has been able to award has increased over the past two years. Most of these scholarships are based on financial need or academic performance. Thank you to all our donors who through their generosity have made these scholarships possible so that deserving students can pursue their studies.

An announcement of these scholarships is made yearly, usually in the spring semester. For additional information, contact the Financial Aid Office.

Capital Blue Cross Information Sciences and Technology Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled in the baccalaureate program within the School of Information Sciences and Technology and attending Penn State Harrisburg.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time students of sophomore, junior, or senior standing enrolled in the baccalaureate program within the School of Information Sciences and Technology and attending Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 3.2 on a scale of 4.0.

Carolyn Dexter Endowed Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have a emonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need.

Ernst & Young Alumni Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to recognize outstanding undergraduate students enrolled in the Professional Accountancy major of the Bachelor of Business Administration program.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll, in the Professional Accountancy major of the Bachelor of Business Administration program, who have at least sixth-semester standing, who have demonstrated academic achievement in business courses with an emphasis on accounting subjects, who exhibit a strong commitment to public accounting, and who have participated in campus and civic activities.

Ethics in Business Annual Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this award shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate and undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and who are majoring in a business program.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate and graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, who have a demonstrated financial need and are majoring in a business program.

Wachovia Undergraduate Scholarship in the School of Business Administration

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students from the Pennsylvania counties of Perry, Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Adams, Lebanon, and Lancaster. Recipients of the scholarship shall be given consideration for an internship at First Union National Bank. Internship participants shall receive a salary during the internship period.

Gayle and Harry Yaverbaum Endowed Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate and undergraduate students who are either students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg and studying information systems or accounting, or who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State Harrisburg.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg, studying information systems or accounting, or who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Information Sciences and Technology, and who have achieved superior academic records. Preferences shall be given to students who have a demonstrated financial need.

Hersha H. and Hasu P. Shah Endowed Scholarship for Women in the School of Business Administration

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding women graduate students enrolled in the School of Business Administration at the Penn State Harrisburg of The Pennsylvania State University who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time graduate students enrolled in the School of Business Administration at the Penn State Harrisburg of The Pennsylvania State University who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need. To the extent permitted by law, eligible students shall be women.

Hershey Foods Corporation Graduate Fellowship

Purpose: The purpose of this fellowship shall be to recognize and support outstanding graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg.

Eligibility: Consideration for this fellowship shall be given to all full-time or part-time graduate students exhibiting academic excellence who have been admitted to Penn State Harrisburg as candidates for the graduate degree, Master of Business Administration.

John A. Arnold Memorial Endowed Graduate Entrepreneur Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time or part-time graduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest outstanding entrepreneurial drive or capability.

Kevin and Kathleen Harter Scholarship for Information Sciences and Technology

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Information Sciences and Technology program at Penn State Harrisubrg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the Information Sciences and Technology program at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need.

Mead Family Endowed Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who are third year students with a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0; who manifest promise of outstanding academic success; and, who have a demonstrated finance need.

Melvin Blumberg Award for Excellence in Management

Purpose: The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by a rising senior undergraduate student enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who is majoring in Management.

Eligibility: Consideration for this award shall be given to all rising seniors enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who are majoring in Management.

Penn National Insurance Award of Excellence in Management

Purpose: The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by an undergraduate student who is a rising senior at Penn State Harrisburg, who is seeking a degree in Management, who has achieved the highest grade-point average of students in the 6th or 7th semester (or equivalent) and who demonstrates good citizenship as reflected in their membership in campus clubs and/or organizations.

Eligibility: Consideration for this award shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who are rising seniors who are seeking a degree in Management, who have achieved the highest grade-point average of students in the 6 th or 7 th semester (or equivalent) and who demonstrate good citizenship as reflected in their membership in campus clubs and/or organizations.

Robert J. Brown Award for Excellence in Finance

Purpose: The purpose of this award shall be to honor and recognize outstanding achievement by a rising senior undergraduate student enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who is majoring in Finance.

Eligibility: Consideration for this award shall be given to all rising seniors enrolled at Penn State Harrisburg who are majoring in Finance.

Technology Council of Central PA Scholarship for Information Sciences and Technology

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Information Sciences and Technology and attending Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Sciences and Technology and attending Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need.

Zoffinger Family Fund Trustee Scholarship

Purpose: The purpose of this scholarship shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have a demonstrated need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Eligibility: Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need.
