“The Religious Studies major at Penn State appealed to me not only because it could help me explore many of the world's great spiritual traditions, including Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism, but because it is so eclectic. It encompasses diverse and fascinating academic disciplines; for example, each of my courses in Religious Studies touched, in different ways and to varying degrees, upon issues related to history, philosophy, natural sciences, women's studies, anthropology, psychology, or politics. Thus to pursue a Religious Studies major is to pursue, I believe, a liberal arts education in the truest and finest sense. Moreover, I had the opportunity to work in my Religious Studies courses with outstanding professors. Ultimately my degree in Religious Studies at Penn State provided me with an excellent foundation for my current graduate work at Harvard University. I highly recommend it. ...”
