There goes my handshake chance. However he is going to be speaking at rec hall, which is right next to the econ building and is clearly visible from my office...I should at least be able to get a look at the guy.
Including an Abstract in your Presentation

I am preparing a presentation today, and I came across this wonderful ctan.org guide to making a latex presentation with beamer. I especially liked their advice about when to put an abstract directly into a slide show:
∙ Never, ever reuse a paper abstract for a presentation, except if the abstract is “We show P = NP” or “We show P != NP”∙ If your abstract is one of the above two, double-check whether your proof is correct.

It's official, Barrack is going to visit State College this Wednesday. If I play my cards right, I may be the second person in the PSU economics department to shake the president's hand.
