Several Icers Garner Post-Season Accolades

May 8th, 2012
At the recent coaches' meetings in Naples, Florida, many of the post-season awards were handed out and teams named. Freshmen goaltender P.J. Musico and forward Tommy Olczyk each were named to the ACHA All-Rookie Team. Musico finished the season with a 14-1-1 record and a save percentage around 0.934. Olczyk led the Icers in goals with 24 in 31 games played.

Five Icers were also named ACHA Academic All-Americans. Dominic Morrone, Rich O'Brien and Dan Petrick made the list for the first time. Chris Cerutti and team captain Dan Loucks were each named for a second time. Criteria for making the list are a grade-point average above 3.2 for a player in their junior or senior year.

Congratulations to all the award-winners!
