
The corner of Curtin Road and University Drive is a hub of construction activity as the preliminary steps are ongoing for the new home of Penn State Hockey. Excavation work at the site of Pegula Ice Arena, the 6,000-seat home of the men's and women's ice hockey teams, began in early February. The 200,000-square foot state-of-the-art facility is scheduled for completion in September of 2013.

Icers senior Paul Daley speaks with Steve Penstone about the Icers' 8-1 victory over Duquesne on Senior Day and the team's involvement in THON.

From the opening faceoff, the #1 Icers (26-3-1) carried the play against Duquesne en route to a 8-1 win Friday at the Ice Pavlion outshooting the Dukes by a four-to-one margin. Senior Chris Cerutti netted two goals for first star. Paul Daley and Kurt Collins each had a goal for 2nd and 3rd star, respectively.

All the teams are set and the schedule announced - the 2012 ACHA Division 1 National Tournament is ready to go. The 20-team, single elimination tournament begins on Friday, March 2nd with teams ranked 13-20 facing each other.
