Camp Chat with Coach Balboni
Camp Chat with Coach Balboni
Today was another scorcher here in Hockey Valley, and after 18 holes of golf in the morning, I couldn't think of a better place to chill out (literally) that at the Greenberg Ice Pavilion.

OK - going home to central air conditioning might have been a better idea, but dropping by the home of the Icers gave me a chance to catch up with head coach Scott Balboni and chat about the summer hockey camps, the incoming freshmen and an in-conference transfer, as well as the signing of a new assistant coach.

Icers Release Tentative 2010-2011 Schedule
The Icers have released their tentative schedule for next season on the front page of their Web site.

As it stands right now, Penn State would open the season on the road at Pitt on Oct. 1 and 2, with the home opener against Drexel on Oct. 8. Also included is a rematch with the team that knocked the Icers out of the tournament, Central Oklahoma, at Greenberg for two games Oct. 15-16. The weekend following the ESCHL Playoffs is currently an opponent to be determined. Robert Morris filled that weekend this season, but the Colonials are joining the ESCHL for next season.
