Schedule (Updated: 04/12/2006)
To provide the teams with a better chance to qualify for the knockout stages, we are implementing a wild card system. The teams have been grouped into 3 groups. The highest 2 group leaders qualify direclty for the semifinals. The third group leader qualifies automatically for the wild card spot. In addition, we will have 3 other wild card spots for the next best records and run rates (in case of a tie). There will be two wild card matches, the winners of which qualify for the remaining two spots in the semifinals.
The teams are requested to be at the ground atleast 30 minutes before the start of their respective games. 15 mintes prior to the start of the game, both captains will need to submit the names of the playing 8 at the scorer's table and verify that all the team players are present. The coin toss will take place 5 minutes before the start of play and rules prescribed by the committee for toss shall apply. Due to increased number of teams this year and our commitment to provide atleast 2 games to each team before the knockout phase, we have had to increase the number of games. We therefore request your assistance in trying to stick to this schedule to make the event successful. We also encourage you to support the other teams during their games.
