Results (updated: 10/08/06)After a day filled with action packed cricket, powerful hitting, sweetly timed drives, cheeky running, accurate bowling and some great catching, the stage is set for more of the same for Sunday's semifinals and finals. The first semifinal set to kick-off at 10:00 AM will see Kaccha-Pakka, the team finishing the league stages with the maximum available 6 pts match up against Anti-Matter who after losing their first game quickly turned it around with a superb bowling display capped off by the best catch in the tournament by Rajaraman. The second semifnal at 1:00PM will be played between The Crazy 88's who won both their league games and The Invincibles who after losing their fist game, upped their batting with the highest score in the tournament of 177 in 15 overs. Date and VenueThe 2006 Fall 20-20 tournament is going to be organized on the weekend of 7th October and 8th October, 2006 at Flower Gardens. Team Groups and SchedulesThe league games will be all played on Saturday (Oct 7th) at the Flower Gardens fields. Please check venue for directions to the ground. The league games will be 15 overs a side games and each game will last 2 hrs. Teams are required to be present atleast 20 minutes before the start of their respective games. The semifinals and finals will be played on Sunday (Oct 8th) at Flower Gardens. The semifinals and finals will be 20 overs a side game. The games are expected to last 3 hrs each and again the respective teams are expected to be present atleast 20 minutes before the start of their respective games. Semifinals

Tournament RulesThe league games will be 15 overs a side games and the semifinals and finals will be 20 overs a side games. The rules have been specially modified to fit the 20-over-a-side cricket played with a soft ball. These can be downloaded from rules.pdf. All team captains are supposed to have gone through these rules. The organizing committee holds the right to change any of the rules without prior notice. The team members will be notified about the rules before the start of each game. The teams are requested to be at the ground atleast 20 minutes before the start of their respective games. 15 mintes prior to the start of the game, both captains will need to submit the names of the playing 11 at the scorer's table and verify that all the team players are present. The coin toss will take place 5 minutes before the start of play and rules prescribed by the committee for toss shall apply. We request your assistance in trying to stick to this schedule to make the event successful. We also encourage you to support the other teams during their games.
PrizesFor the first time, PSCC has decided to introduce a perpetual trophy for the tournament. The Fall 20-20 Cup will be presented to the tournament champions. The trophy will roll over for future tournaments and the winning team will have bragging rights until they are usurped by another. This is the first of its kind tournament organized at Penn State and we welcome you all to an exciting weekend of challenging cricket. ![]() |
