Chinaplas 2008
Chinaplas 2008 start in 2 month, and we are very excited to have the show back in Shanghai.
This years Chinplas promises to be the biggest show ever for Zerma, we will be introducing new machines, and exciting new technologies.
We are looking forward you to welcome to the Home of Size Reduction in hall E2 booth L31.

Many thanks to all Visitors who helped making this exhibition a great success.
We were able to show the complete range of Zerma plastic size reduction products, e.g.
- Slow speed granulators for the injection molding industry.
- PM series Pulverizers for the reduction of thermoplasts.
- Compact granulators of the GSE and GSC series for the grinding of hollow blow molded parts like bottles.
- Granulators of the GS and GSH series for the typical and demanding applications in the plastics industry.
But the highlight was the ZRS single shaft shredder with a huge 1.5 m rotor diameter used in the reduction of pipes up to 1.2 m diameter.

Force feeding for increased throughput
Zerma developed a force feeding hopper especially designed for bailed PET bottles,it will reduce bouncing of bottles in the cutting chamber by feeding them directly into the rotor, increasing thrroughput by 200% - 300%.
Without the need for a de-bailer or other specialized equipment.
We offer this hopper as a standard option for the GS and GSH series granulators, and as an add-on for various other granulator makes.

Updated GSC and GSE granulator series
The machines of the GSC and GSE compact granulator series have been improved and updated.
The compact machines are available with or without soundproofing and are ideally suited for crates, (PET) bottles, or other hollow thin walled plastic parts, as a central granulator for medium to large injection molded parts and sprues.
The compact granulators are available with 300, 500, and 700 mm diameter rotors, rotor widths ranging from 300 to 1000 mm and drive power from 7.5 thru 90 kW.
The machines come standard with these features:
- Bolted wear plates in the upper and lower cutting chamber walls.
- Swiveling screen cradle, and removable suction trough.
- Diagonally split cutting chamber.
- Different rotors, featuring V-cut.
- Knife adjustment outside of the machine.
While redesigning the series much effort went into allowing for quick and easy cleaning and maintaining of the granulators. The cutting chamber is plit diagonally across the middle of the cutting chamber providing easier access to the inside of the cutting chamber, the swiveling screen cradle simplifies access to the screen and lower cutting chamber.

New beside the press machines GSL series 200
The newest generation of Zerma beside the press machines is based on extensive feedback from our customers and agents.
We asked for suggestions on how to improve the usability, accessibility and ergonomics of the existing GSL machine range.
This feedback was the basis for the development of the GSL 200 series.
The result is a flexible dependable machine series with a 200mm rotor diameter and widths ranging from 190 to 500 mm.
Naturally all the benefits of the 180 series machines, such as low noise level and dust free material remain, but other areas have been greatly improved.
The bigger rotor diameter gives the machine a more aggressive infeed making it better suited for bulkier parts, the screen sits on a swiveling screen cradle now making maintenance work and cleaning easier and faster, integrated sealing helps keeping the work area clean and dust free.
