Club Activities for 2007
The Penn State Cricket Club is working towards class A classification with Penn State Club Sports and has planned the following activities for the upcoming season. As member of the club, you can participate in all of these activites.
Off Season Activities: (Jan 2007 - Mar 2007)
- Community Service (Volunteering efforts with the International Student Services of Penn State) - Jan '07
- General Body Meeting and Membership Drive - Mar '07
- Seminar on the recent trends in Laws, Ethics of Cricket - Mar '07
- Screening of Professional International Cricket games - Mar, Apr '07
- Social at Tussey Mountain - Mar '07
Season Activities: (Apr 2007 - Aug 2007)
- Clinic for members - Apr '07
- Demonstration of Cricket by the members for the general public - Apr '07
- 8-a side soft ball 12 overs day/night Spring tournament - Apr 12th-15 '07
- Hard ball league net practice sessions and training
- Soft ball league 20-20 competitive tournament
- Hardball league competitive tournament
Post Season Activities: (Sep 2007 - Dec 2007)
- Elections for 2007-08 committee - Sep '07
- Demonstration of the game of Cricket, Organized by Penn State Club Sports - Sep '07
- Community service (volunteering efforts with the ISS) - Sep '07
- Club officers training by Penn State Club Sports - Sep '07
- CPR/AED training for coach and safety officers - Sep '07
- Handing over of office, Training sessions for new executive officers
- Planning and Brainstrorming sessions for next season
- Fall 20-20 soft ball day/night tournament - Oct '07
