The Alpha Pi Chapter was founded on October 6, 1991
The first class consisted of 23 Brothers
The largest initiate class, Alpha Gamma - Spring 2005, had 30 Initiates
There are 12 committees within Alpha Pi: Executive, Social, Service, Scholarship, Alumni, Fundraising, History, Interchapter Relations, Rush/Public Relations, Homecoming/THON, Risk Management, and Web
The Prism is the Chapter's newsletter that is sent out to our Alumni Brothers every
semester
For the past four years, our initiate classes have embarked upon a retreat and
the tradition continues
Alpha Pi is an active participant in The Penn State Dance Marathon to help fight pediatric cancer - In 2008, our chapter raised over $17,000 for THON's causes
In 1997, our Chapter won the C.H. McClure Service Award for our efforts at THON
In 2000, our Chapter was awarded Most Outstanding Fundraising Event (for our
fundraising for THON) and Most Outstanding Website
In 2001, our philanthropic event changed from a Win, Lose, or Draw Tournament into
Brother Bowl, which is a competition between chapters to raise money for our
philanthropic cause
