Membership
JCS has decided to implement voluntary dues to cover basic operating costs and supplies we need throughout the year. We ask for $10 per semester (or $15 for an entire year) in order for you to be considered a full member. People who have not paid these membership dues may still attend general JCS meetings, but if you wish to attend a workshop or event where we provide materials (for example, calligraphy workshops, bonsai workshops, etc.) you will be charged separately for that event (usually $5 an event) while full members may attend for free. Full benefits of membership include the following:
  • Free access to all JCS meetings, events, and workshops.
  • Reduced prices for all trips (non-members may still go on trips but will pay more)
  • Priority reservation for all trips/limited-participation events. (Our trips fill up very fast and non-members will be considered for a seat only after full members are.)

Committees
We encourage all JCS members to join a committee to become more involved with the club. Being in a committee generally is not a big time commitment, but it is a good way to get more involved with events and a great experience for all the members. Please email jcs.psu@gmail.com at any time if you would like to join a committee.
