CaucusesThe Geographic Caucus System groups campuses based on geographic location in attempt to bring student leaders from the campuses closer with one another and with Central Staff so as to build strong bonds of communication with one another. The geography caucuses are the base of the system and will operate as a place of common ground for campuses and student leaders. The geography caucus Directors will focus their breakouts on discussing three main things: events and initiatives at the campuses, current council legislation, and the coordination of Caucus activities.The Directors within the Commonalities Caucus System will focus on highlighting more issues and concerns at the Commonwealth Campuses that are too broad based to be addressed by the committees. These Directors will research and explore each topic at all the campuses before council weekends in an effort to bring together different campuses during Caucus breakouts for discussion. The main function of these Directors will, therefore, be to further explore these 'hot topic' issues, bring in speakers to provide background information to the campuses, and foster a discussion based on the designated speaker and campus leaders. | ||||||||||
