No one ever said bringing 20 campuses to one table would be an easy task. That's why CCSG hosts caucus breakouts. For the first time ever, CCSG 2009-2010 has grouped the caucuses twice (geographically and commonality-based) to ensure meeting efficiency and to encourage campus visits.
Our second council brought forth some new perceptions of how we can better enhance the efficiency of meetings for each campus. There was much legislation discussion in geography breakouts, and commonalities introduced some new things; the residential caucuses shared a breakout focused on housing and food services, which received great feedback.
Central staff has been working hard to evaluate some of the procedures dealing with legislation recently, and I assure everyone that caucuses will be able to capitalize on their time together to discuss it, but more importantly- there will be a more structured rundown of what will be discussed on each agenda in future council weekends.
It was great seeing everyone at the THON 5K Sunday as well! THONvelope delivery is today as well! FTK!
This is what Council is about-- building off of each other, depending on one another, brightening the abilities of the people beside you. Please check out the "Council Weekend" tab for council agendas, breakout agendas, and the most recent Newsletter!

P.S. I had an amazing time canning for THON and staying in West Mifflin with Governmental Affairs director DJ Ryan this past weekend. He and Sanny Hines gave other staffers and I a great tour of the beautiful campus. I got to see the radio station, academic buildings, and even took pictures on a tank! (photos on facebook :-])
